Screen Printing Workshop Fun

Canberra Screen printing workshop fun

Did you know I now teach a screen printing workshop here in Canberra? It has been a dream of mine for some time to start teaching some creative workshops. I have been itching to share my screen printing passion with others. This year I have achieved this goal.

Small Format Screen Printing

It took me quite some time to get my head around how to teach screen printing with just a small area to wash out the screens. The solution, it turns out, was to use very small screens. And small screens are perfect for printing greeting cards. And that is how my Screen Print Greeting Cards in Your Own Design came to be.

BTW, you can make your own small silkscreen cheaply too. Read my recent blog post to see how.

Here is a little peek into what we get up to during the workshop.

I have run the workshop a few times now and my students have printed some fabulous cards.

Here's what Cindy had to say about the course:

"Rebecca is a great teacher - she is able to coach you enough to set you up for success while allowing you to express your own creativity."

And another participant said:

"Great first experience with screen printing. Looking forward to doing some more."

The next course, the last one for this year, is running on Sunday, 28th October between 10am and 1pm at Trove Canberra. If you would like to try your hand at screen printing greeting cards in your own design, come and join me. It is the perfect time to print some original Christmas cards! The process we use is easily replicable at home so, when you get hooked, as I know you will, you can play at home over and over again!
